Chandrababu one of India’s most dynamic leaders: World Bank Economist

World Bank Chief Economist who served as Chief Economic Advisor for India heaped praises on Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu for his vision and foresight for the state. Stating that Chandrababu’s efforts for the state have brought Telugu people global recognition.
“You have a man with a vision and he is also one of the most dynamic leaders of India. His dynamism has an effect over people from this state. In fact, the global presence of Andhra people and their work culture is talked about. He is responsible for showing them the way,” he said, speaking at the Indian Economists Association forum, which was held at Nagajuna University in Guntur.
Sharing his experience of listening to people speaking Telugu in the US, he said “Telugu is the second most spoken language in some areas of New York, after English. This is Chandrababu’s effect. His push for IT and ITes field has brought many people to the US and they are a very progressive community,” he said.
“It is very rare for a politician to be interested in economic ideas. There were only two politicians who wanted to discuss economic reforms during his previous tenure. One of them was Chandrababu Naidu and the other was Nitish Kumar,” he said, sharing his experience of being Chief Economic Advisor to the Government of India from 2009-2012.
Stating that Chandrababu Naidu’s economic policies are a reason for Andhra Pradesh’ growth, he said the Chief Minister is much ahead of his peers when it comes to governance and administration.
