Tirupati Bypoll: Bible or Gita? AP People need to decide, says Bandi Sanjay

If there was a middle name for Telangana’s BJP President, it would be controversy. In a scathing statement, he stirred a controversy by asking voters to :choose between the Bible and Bhagavad Gita”.
Speaking to media in Hyderabad, the BJP leader said YSRCP leaders call Tirumala “Rendu Kondalu” (two hills) where as the BJP strongly believes it is “Yedu Kondalu” (seven hills) as well-known to people across the world.
Hitting at both Telangana and AP’s Chief Minister, Bandi said: “While KCR, here, is supporting one religion. In Andhra Pradesh, another religion is being propagated. If Andhra Pradesh CM Jagan Mohan Reddy favours one religion, all the Hindus will turn the vote bank to repeat the result of Dubbaka byelection in Tirupati bypolls.”
Sanjay also warned miscreants attacking temples in AP and said not to mistake the patience of Andhra Pradesh people as timidness, “otherwise, you will have to pay for it. If the BJP karyakartas take to the streets and chant Vande Mataram, Jai Sriram, and Bharat Mata Ki Jai, the YSRCP will have to vacate their office,” he added.
He did not stop there. Further making provocative statements, he said: “Do you want the party that humiliates Lord Venkateshwara Swamy or who worships the Lord? They will try to polarise in the name of caste, and religion as it happened in GHMC elections and Dubbaka. Please keep this in mind.”
Alleging that TTD funds are being diverted, he said, “Where is TTD income going? There is a pressing need to purge the AP Endowment Department as it is diverting the funds to non-Hindu people.” Going by these statements, it looks like the BJP’s strategy of introducing indirect religion-based propaganda has begun. This narrative is sure to pick up in Andhra given the way it has begun in Telangana.
