Vedam fame senior actor ‘Nagaiah’ passes away

Senior movie artiste Nagaiah, who is better known now as ‘Sircilla’ Ramulu through his heart-rending acting in the film, Vedam, passed away. Nagaiah hails from Desavarampeta of Guntur district. Recently, his wife succumbed due to ill health and since then Nagaiah has not been well. According to sources, this morning around 4:30 am, the senior actor breathed his last.
Previously, a journalist who found the septuagenarian loitering around Krishna Nagar, virtually begging people for some assistance, tweeted about the dire straits of the struggling artiste. The tweet that had ‘Sircilla’ in the content instantly connected with Mr. Rama Rao who asked his office to trace him. 
Incidentally, Mr. Nagaiah gets an Old Age Pension (OAP) from Andhra Pradesh. Following this, Telangana IT Minister K.T. Rama Rao offered to help him financially along with providing his family a permanent house in Hyderabad. 
Mr. Nagaiah and his family were living with financial challenges in Krishna Nagar, an area that is mostly inhabited by those working in the 24 different crafts of the film industry. He was spotted on the road by director Radhakrishna ‘Krish’ Jagarlamudi for the 2010 hit film Vedam. His role as ‘Sircilla’ Ramulu earned him critical applause and it was followed up by small roles in about half-a-dozen films. 
He shall be fondly remembered by the audience and the Telugu film industry for his impactful roles.
