AP CM vows to end ‘Jagan tax’ in YS family bastion

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and Telugu Desam Party national president N. Chandrababu Naidu has vowed to provide irrigation water to Rayalaseema region an improve cultivation, specially horticulture.
Naidu, who appeared to be upbeat seeing the huge turnout for his road show in Pulivendula, said the TDP would win all the seats in Kadapa district, which he claimed were the party strongholds in the past. He toured Jammalamadugu and Pulivendula constituencies, considered the citadel if the YS family.
In Pulivendula, he promised to make it the No. 1 constituency in the state and also a horticulture hub. He reminded that he had put in efforts and pumped in Rs 1,200 crore to supply irrigation water to the constituency. He also promised to build cold storage facility and take the fruits in the orchard-rich constituency to the global market.
Charging the YS family of collecting money illegally from the sweet lime and farmers to 20 pc of their yield,  Naidu said he would liberate them from the Jaganmohan Reddy tax. “For 40 years, you voted to the YS family. Now, vote for TDP candidate Satish Kumar Reddy.”
In Jammalamadugu, he said that the TDP was determined to set up the Kadapa Steel plant despite ‘non-cooperation’ of the Centre and promised to build it if voted to power for the next term. He also appealed to the people not to believe in the YSRC’s rumours that the Rayalaseema Thermal Power Plant (RTPP) would be closed down. The government has no such plans, he affirmed.
The warring factions led by P. Ramasubba Reddy and Adinarayana Reddy had buried their differences and this would augur well for the district, he said and wanted the people to support his party candidates both in the Assembly and Parliamentary constituencies.
