AP Elections 2019: TDP Chief confident of winning 130 seats

Andhra Pradesh registered a record voter turnout of 74 per cent and polling continued till late in the night in 400 polling stations where the EVMs developed glitches. While the YSRC celebrated the huge voter turnout, the Telugu Desam Party supremo N. Chandrababu Naidu exuded confidence of winning 130 seats of the total 175 seats in the Assembly.
The CM’s statement came after a teleconference with his party men late in the night. He thanked the polling personnel for their patience in performing their duty till night. He called upon the party workers and leaders to maintain the same spirit till counting would be done on May 23rd. He asked the party men to keep a tight vigil on the strong rooms where the EVMs and VVPATS are stored, in shifts for the next 42 days.
Naidu ridiculed YSR Congress activists for resorting to violence fearing defeat in the election out of frustration. He said that the TDP would return to power overcoming all the conspiracies by various parties. He was confident that the increased voting percentage would favour his party candidates.
Naidu rapped the Election Commission for failure in ensuring enough infrastructure and foolproof mechanism for smooth polling. He thanked the electorate for standing by the TDP and maintaining peace, despite the YSRCP trying to create disturbances during polling.
