Vendetta Politics: YSRCP MP flees to Delhi soon after his bail

YSRCP rebel MP Raghurama Krishna Raju, arrested in connection with a sedition case by the Andhra Pradesh CID and allegedly tortured by the sleuths in custody, was discharged from the Army Hospital in Secunderabad yesterday.
What followed after was a pretty interesting twist of events. The MP who requested that he would like to get treated for the next 4 days at the hospital, soon after, reached Begumpet airport and left for Delhi in a special flight for better treatment at AIIMS in the national capital.
The Andhra Pradesh CID registered cases against the Narasapuram MP on charges of defamation of the government. Then, he was arrested when he visited his family in Hyderabad and shifted to Guntur.
The MP filed a bail petition in the apex court alleging that he was tortured by the CID sleuths when in custody. Following the Supreme Court order, the MP was rushed to the Army Hospital in Secunderabad for treatment. The court also issued his bail on health grounds.
Following Raju’s request, he was discharged from the hospital after giving him rest for a couple of days as he said that his legs were in pain and that his blood pressure was fluctuating. Raju being an influential MP, it remains to be seen how things will shape up with his sudden flight to Delhi.
