Jagan to discuss Polavaram with Amit Shah today

As Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy and his party celebrated one year in government, YSRCP MP informed that the Chief Minister will be meeting Union Home Minister Amit Shah today, during his visit to New Delhi.
“The Chief Minister, along with state government officials and Members of Parliament will be meeting Union Home Minister and the Jal Shakti Minister during his visit to Delhi. Based on the availability, he will also meet the minister for mines,” Rajya Sabha member and YSRC Parliamentary Party leader V. Vijayasai Reddy said, speaking to reporters.
The MP said the Chief Minister would be discussing various issues pertaining to the state including pending projects.
When asked if the Chief Minister will raise the ongoing dispute with the Telangana  government over construction of irrigation projects by both sides on Krishna and Godavari, Vijayasai Reddy said they will discuss any dispute with the Telangana government.
“There are several other issues related to the Union Jal Shakti ministry including the Polavaram project, release of funds to the project and also for the Rehabilitation and Relief (R&R) package,” he said.
However, the Opposition, Telugu Desam Party leaders hit back at the government stating that this is a diversion tactic by the YSRCP as the state coffers remain empty. “The state is bankrupt. The government needs to look at ways to generate revenue. Yet, it is on a rampage on driving away investments from state. It is not even making any efforts to revive the financial situation or improve it,” said a TDP leader.
