Global Recognition: AP woman among top 30 in UN Panel on Saving Oceans

While Greta Thunberg shook the world with her Fridays For Future and getting the attention back on the climate crisis, every city and town has had its own climate warriors doing their bit quietly. One such person from Andhra Pradesh is Deepika Tadi. 
Deepika, who is a resident of Antarvedi in East Godavari district, had a rare opportunity to represent India on the global platform and share the story of her village’s contribution in reducing ocean plastic pollution as part of ‘Antarvedi Zero-Waste Initiative’. The programme is hosted by the United Nations Division for Ocean Affairs and the Law of the Sea, Office of Legal Affairs, in partnership with Oceanic Global.
