With the rise of humidity and climate change, people become more prone to bacterial, viral and fungal infections. There is a looming fear of how these existing infections will play out during the monsoons.

  • Stay clear of cold foods and drinks.
  • Consume warm water during these months.
  • Steam inhalation once a day is helpful to clear the nasal passages and resolve any breathing issues. (Make sure to take steam at a comfortable temperature, a higher temperature may cause burn and damage to the inner lining of the nose and mouth.)
  • Having homemade ‘Kadha’ with potent herbs and spices can help boost immunity and protect the body against infections. (Make sure not to overdose yourself with any particular herb as everybody responds differently to different preparations.)
  • Regular practice of breathing exercises, yoga or pranayam not only boost your immunity but also improve your lung capacity.
  • Also, have freshly prepared food, avoid stale food.
