Chinese Electronics giant TCL To Set Up first Industry Park In Tirupati

Andhra Pradesh CM N Chandrababu Naidu laid down foundation stone for TCL Company's first Industry Park in India at Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh.

TCL, the world’s third largest Smart TV manufacturer and China-based handset and consumer electronics  maker TCL Electronics would set up a new manufacturing facility at Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh as per an agreement signed with the state government.

The new facility will generate substantial employment opportunities for the state Andhra Pradesh young workforce, and will also fulfil the market demand for smart consumer electronics appliances in India, the company said in a statement.This unit will be used to manufacture AI and QLED tech-driven TVs. This manufacturing facility will create employment opportunities for the state young foroce  and it will generate around 8000 jobs, company said in a statement.

"Our strong partnership with the Andhra Pradesh state and the establishment of our Tirupati manufacturing unit would allow us to provide Indian consumers with innovative smart TVs driven by the latest cutting-edge QLED and AI technologies," Mike Chen, Country Manager-TCL India, said in a statement. The company is scheduled to commence operations from the fourth quarter of 2019.

Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, the chief guest at the ground-breaking ceremony, has announced that this will be a game-changer, positioning Andhra Pradesh as a hotspot for electronics manufacturers and this would pave the way for the industrial development of the region and the State as a whole.

IT Minister Nara Lokesh and N Amarnath Reddy  and several other state government officials were also participated in this inauguration event.
