CM Chandrababu Naidu lays foundation stone for State Secretariat

Chief Minister Sri. Chandrababu Naidu laid the foundation stone of Andhra Pradesh State Secretariat and HODs Administrative Complex at Amaravati today 27/12/2018, designed by London-based world-renowned architect Foster and Partners.

Our Amaravati will be home to the tallest Secretariat in the world. It is one of the days to remember in New Andhra Pradesh's legacy said  Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu.

We are building a golden Navya Andhra with state of the art technology. Amaravati - People's Capital of Andhra Pradesh will be home to some of the most iconic buildings in the world.

The Chief Minister said that the secretariat complex would be constructed in 41 acres to accommodate 145 departments. The built-in area is around 1.3 lakh square feet with parking facility for 4000 cars. The Chief Minister said for the first time in the world at a height of 225 meters.

The Chief Minister said for the first time in India, a unique structural system called diagrid without the conventional columns to provide column-free interior space was used.  

A total of 5 towers in the complex are designed, all connected by a three story podium at the base and Shapoorji Pallonji, L&T and NCC have been appointed as contractors to build the complex and the project is targeted to be completed in 36 months.The complex is also designed for 16,000+ employees across all the government departments and Ministries and also provisions for 10,000 + visitors.

World renowned architects Foster Partners and other consortiums  will oversee the quality of the construction while tracking the progress of capital construction. It will also identify the critical issues said in a statement released by A P C R D A.
