The BCCI on Tuesday announced a Harmanpreet Kaur-led 15-member squad for the upcoming 2026 Asian Games. The selection committee retained most of the squad that featured in the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup, with left-handed batter and wicketkeeper G Kamalini replacing Yastika Bhatia being the only change.

India will head into the 2026 Asian Games, scheduled to be played in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan, from September 19 to October 4, as the defending champions after winning the historic gold medal at the previous edition in Hangzhou, China.

Shafali Verma, Jemimah Rodrigues and vice-captain Smriti Mandhana will strengthen the batting lineup.

Star all-rounder Deepti Sharma anchors the middle order, while Richa Ghosh leads the wicketkeeping duties alongside backup keeper G Kamalini.

The pace attack will be led by Renuka Singh Thakur and Arundhati Reddy, while the spin department includes Radha Yadav and Shreyanka Patil.

Shreyanka Patil’s selection is subject to fitness clearance after recovering from a twisted ankle that ruled her out of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup.
