Actress Ritu Varma will be seen playing the character Sathyavathi in director Sankalp Reddy’s upcoming historical action film, currently referred to as #Gopichand33, starring Gopichand.
On Tuesday, the film’s makers wished Ritu Varma on her birthday and unveiled her first-look poster from the movie. In the poster, she is seen aiming a bow and arrow, portraying a fierce and determined warrior-like presence.
Sharing the poster on social media, production house Srinivasaa Silver Screen wrote:
“Deadly aim. Fierce presence. Wishing @riturv a very Happy Birthday as she transforms into #SathyaVathi in #Gopichand33.”
Big-budget historical action film
The film is being produced by Srinivasaa Chitturi under Srinivasaa Silver Screen, with Pavan Kumar presenting it. Sources say the project is being mounted on a massive scale with a lavish budget.
The team has already completed four shooting schedules, covering around 55 days of filming so far.
Massive interval action sequence
Last October, the team shot an explosive action sequence believed to be the interval block of the film. According to sources, the sequence will be one of the film’s biggest highlights.
The high-octane stunt sequence was supervised by stunt choreographer Venkat Master, and insiders say it will keep audiences on the edge of their seats.
Gopichand’s warrior avatar
Earlier, on Gopichand’s birthday, the makers released a special poster and glimpse showing the actor in a ferocious warrior avatar, with long hair and a thick beard, hinting at the intensity of his character.
Director Sankalp Reddy, known for films like Ghazi and Antariksham 9000 KMPH, is expected to present a visually grand and emotionally powerful story, focusing on an important yet lesser-known chapter of Indian history.
