Here’s why BJP is silent in Pawan Kalyan Vs. YSRCP fight

Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan’s fiery speech at ‘Republic’ movie pre-release event, invited a huge criticism from the YSRCP government. Ministers Vempalli, Perni Nani and a couple more counter-attacked Pawan with filthy language. However, Pawan got support from common man instead of his political ally which is the BJP.

In fact, social media was flooded with many videos of Jana Sena supporters while citizens of Andhra Pradesh remained on Pawan’s side and defended him for addressing film industry problems with aggressive speech.

In the midst of this, the silent observed has been the Andhra BJP unit. Additionally, by being a silent spectator throughout the current scenario, neither has BJP interfered nor has it condemned the unparliamentary language being used by ministers.

With no support from BJP’s side, Jana Sena leaders and cadre are said to be upset. A discussion among few leaders took place and they are not pleased with BJP maintaining absolute silence in the fresh controversy.

If one has observed the trends, the BJP and Jana Sena have slowly been inching apart and there has not been much interaction between the two parties of late.  There have been reports that all is not well between the two parties and that Jana Sena is now eyeing a tie-up with the TDP for post the MPTC and ZPTC elections.

But, it is learnt that Pawan is in no rush to take a call on alliance now and is focused on exposing the failures of YSRCP government. On October 2nd, Pawan had called for Sramadanam on roads and appealed to the Jana Sena cadre to take part in it.

It remains to be seen how political equations will begin changing as Jana Sena is now taking a different path and how this will affect the political climate in the state, even with respect to other parties.
