Pawan Kalyan Syama Prasad Mookerjee tributes marked the birth anniversary of the Bharatiya Jana Sangh founder on Monday, with the Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister describing him as one of India’s foremost nation builders, an eminent educationist, visionary statesman, and fearless patriot. The tribute highlighted Mookerjee’s lasting contribution to nationalism, constitutional values, and public service.
Pawan Kalyan Remembers Syama Prasad Mookerjee’s Legacy
The Jana Sena Party leader said that Syama Prasad Mookerjee dedicated his life to safeguarding India’s unity, integrity, and sovereignty.
In a post on social media, Pawan Kalyan said that as the founder of the Bharatiya Jana Sangh, Mookerjee laid the foundation for a political movement rooted in nationalism, democratic values, and public service.
He added:
“His unwavering conviction that ‘One Nation, One Constitution, One Flag’ became a defining symbol of national unity and constitutional integrity.”
Pawan Kalyan also described Mookerjee as a distinguished scholar and one of the youngest Vice-Chancellors of the University of Calcutta, saying he believed education was the cornerstone of nation-building.
He urged people to draw inspiration from Mookerjee’s vision, sacrifice and commitment towards building a strong, united and developed Bharat.
Chandrababu Naidu Pays Tribute to Babu Jagjivan Ram
Meanwhile, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu paid tributes to former Deputy Prime Minister Babu Jagjivan Ram on his death anniversary.
Naidu described Jagjivan Ram as a leader who dedicated his life to social justice, the empowerment of the poor and weaker sections, and the creation of an equitable society.
He also credited the veteran leader with laying a strong foundation for India’s Green Revolution and making significant contributions to achieving food security.
The Chief Minister said Jagjivan Ram’s public service and leadership continue to inspire future generations.
Nara Lokesh Recalls Jagjivan Ram’s Contributions
HRD and IT Minister Nara Lokesh also paid tribute to Jagjivan Ram, describing him as one of the architects of modern India.
Lokesh said Jagjivan Ram worked tirelessly to protect Dalit rights during his tenure as Union Minister and Deputy Prime Minister.
He urged people to remain committed to fulfilling the aspirations and ideals of the veteran leader.
The tributes coincided with commemorative events remembering the contributions of two prominent national leaders to India’s political and social development.
