The Oh Sukumari U/A certificate has officially been granted by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), clearing director Bharat Dharshan’s much-awaited Telugu entertainer for theatrical release. Starring Aishwarya Rajesh and Thiruveer, the film is scheduled for a worldwide release on July 17, 2026.
Oh Sukumari Receives U/A Certificate Before Release
The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has cleared director Bharat Dharshan’s eagerly awaited Telugu film, ‘Oh Sukumari’, featuring Aishwarya Rajesh and Thiruveer in the lead, with a U/A certificate.
The film is slated to hit theatres worldwide on July 17, 2026.
Announcing the development on X, Gangaa Entertainments posted:
“It’s U/A for #OhSukumari. Get ready for a Heartwarming Family Entertainer packed with fun, love and laughter. Grand Release in Cinemas on July 17th, 2026.”
The certification clears the final regulatory hurdle ahead of the film’s theatrical release.
Teaser Sparks Curiosity Among Movie Lovers
The film generated significant buzz after the release of its fun-filled teaser.
The teaser follows a cheerful young man, played by Thiruveer, who dreams of marrying a soft and sensitive woman. His family finds the perfect bride, portrayed by Aishwarya Rajesh, but a hidden surprise changes everything when he receives a mild electric shock after accidentally touching her shoulder on their wedding day.
The unusual premise has sparked curiosity among audiences and social media users, making the film one of the most talked-about Telugu releases this month.
Bharat Dharshan Makes Directorial Debut
The film, initially referred to as Production No. 2, marks the directorial debut of Bharat Dharshan and is produced by Maheswara Reddy Mooli under the banner of Gangaa Entertainments.
Following the critical appreciation for its first production, ‘Shivam Bhaje’, the production house is backing another content-driven entertainer written by Bharat Dharshan.
The film’s grand launch ceremony took place in Hyderabad last year in the presence of the cast and crew.
