How AP’s new Cabinet Ministers showed their allegiance to Jagan

It is a well-known fact that former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu Jayalalitha was a sucker for respect and loyalty. As the leader of AIADMK, she expected unperturbed efficiency and allegiance to her party. Eventually, that soon turned into leaders of the party and ministers falling at her feet and touching her feet, to mark their respect for their leader.

A dynamic leader that she was, she equally commanded respectful behaviour, especially from men around her. Having been called their “Amma (mother)”, she lives upto the expectations and love of the people of Tamil Nadu and the party she ruled.

Now, many are comparing this loyalty towards Jayalalitha with that of YSRCP leaders towards Chief Minister Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy. As a person with a criminal record and one who has served prison sentence in money laundering cases, Jagan as the CM, is autocratic in his approach. From haphazard and bad decision-making to driving out investments, the YSRCP government has been plagued with a number of problems while spending mindlessly on welfare and bankrupting the state.

While Jayalalitha was known for her welfare schemes which were extremely people-friendly, Jagan is known for using government funds for personal projects. While loans have been taken out mindlessly by the AP government under the YSRCP, there is no explanation as to what projects these debts have been created for.

Now, after the recent shuffling of AP Cabinet, at the swearing-in ceremony of the recent cabinet, ministers made a line to touch Jagan’s feet, further stooping low and bringing the entire state’s morale down. Going by this trend, it is clear how, maybe, people in AP will soon be driven to “worship” Jagan as told by AP’s new cinematography minister.

What else will AP descend into in future is yet to be seen as these new developments continue to shock its citizens!
